It is often a brave decision to bring yourself to see a counsellor and I am aware of the challenge this can often be for many people. I believe my role as a counsellor and therapist is to provide an environment that is safe and supportive through which you might better understand the difficulties you may be facing, how you feel, and how you can move forward in areas of your life where you may be overwhelmed.

As a person centred therapist, I aim to work with every person in an accepting and compassionate way. I believe that whatever comes up for you in counselling can be handled in a way that ensures you are supported and make progress in a safe way. I have personally experienced the impact of the counselling process and aim to practice in a way that is accessible to anyone, recognising the differences, unique qualities and often the quirks that we all have!

From a professional perspective, I have over 15 years experience (both within a Local Authority and Charity settings) of working and supporting individuals and families through a range of challenges. I have worked both as a practitioner and manager across a number of services supporting parents, young people, victims of crime (including domestic violence and assault), and a charity supporting children who have been trafficked and exploited. It is a real privilege to provide direct counselling and therapeutic support to those in need.

Amongst other areas I can help with stress and anxiety, OCD, bereavement, depression, loss, post-traumatic stress, shame, identity issues, self esteem, relationships and work related issues.
